Business Development Manager (400-101)

Pensando Systems is looking for an experienced Sales/Business Development resource to position and sell Pensando products and solutions into on-premise Enterprise customer Data Centers in the XXX region. This individual will act as the main demand generation resource leading business engagement with prospective customers, introducing them to the Pensando product capabilities, the derived associated Business Outcomes and employing deeper Pensando technical resource as needed to close business. Business Development will have a hunter mindset and be a known entity having already sold into network/security buyers in the enterprise customer base within their specific geo.

The preferred candidate should have proven experience in most of the following areas:

  • Hunter mindset driving closure of sales into enterprise Data centers

  • Independant, go getter who can operate on own and in teams

  • Established relationships to network/security buyers in local Enterprise customer base

  • History of selling network, security, visibility infrastructure into Enterprise customers

  • Understanding and ability to represent Pensando on specific OS, Virtualisation, compute, network and security technologies

  • Start-up mentality and agility with discipline to self-manage and scale


  • Be the business focal point driving demand generation and customer onboarding

  • Work direct with customers and through channel partners to help secure new design wins for Pensando

  • Work in partnership with a dedicated CSE to onboard customer technology trials

  • Act as the initial independent expert to introduce customers to the game changing pensando Services Platform

  • Participate in driving Pensando product roadmap by providing the voice of the customer requirements to product marketing teams

  • Manage several concurrent customer relationships

  • Close opportunities and retire quota


  • Personal relationships/proven business relationships with network buyers in large enterprises

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering  or similar field from an accredited university or college.

  • 15+ years of experience in a customer facing Sales/Business development role selling into data centers of large Enterprise customers

  • Familiarity with direct, OEM and channel Sales fulfillment processes

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Sound understanding of Network, Compute, Storage and Security Data Center topology/technologies within enterprises - ideally appreciation in Hyperscale environments too.

  • Self motivated hunters. Driven and dedicated.

  • Flexibility to travel as needed to customer sites and also to company HQ on a regular basis
