Operations Manager

Essential Duties:

·     Development and implementation of strategies to drive operational growth

o   Will be coordinating with C-Suite executives to create an aligned vision and principles

o   Provide input on SWOT analysis (90 days of hire)

o   Conducting audits of organizational processes and creation of scorecard metrics, milestones, and deadlines.

o   Refining and defining metrics to help drive optimization, productivity, utilization, efficiency, automation, quality, safety and satisfaction.

·     Drive operational improvements and daily operation leads

o   Collaborate with sales and marketing for increased installations from 54 to 100 / month within 12 months.

o   Identify and increase tower locations from 1-8 in 12 months.

o   Ensure returned equipment is tested and redeployed going forward within a week

o   Efficiently handle backlog of equipment (within 90 days)

o   Improve quality installations and infrastructure, reducing tickets and service visits (within 150 days of hire)

o   Increase efficiency of installs by 100% in 12 months

o   Accountability of installers, using scorecard deliverables.

o   Review customer satisfaction, achieve high across department from 90% year over year

o   Optimize team productivity (80/20 principle)

o   Achieve residential installation time of 48 hours within 12 months (currently at 1-4 weeks)

o   Reduce H&S incidents from 3 to 0 within 12 months

o   Reduce “at fault” service calls from 10 to 1 within 12 months

·     90 Days Deliverables:

o   Present CEO with 3-5 ideas on operational improvements (optimizing process flows and updating SOPs)

o   Oversea research, selection of operational dashboards for management

o   Track progress against operational metrics

o   Provide daily updates to CEO

o   Handle backlog of equipment

o   Provide detailed SWOT analysis

·     120 Day Deliverables

o   Responsibility of day to day operations

o   Logistics, asset management, and inventory management

·     Create plans, dates, milestones, deadlines, etc. for team projects on an as-need basis and hold team accountable for achieving goals

·     Coordinate sales & marketing for effective launch and expansion

·     Hire, train, and retain a team of A-Players

o   Talent assessment of employees and contractors (within 90 days of hire)

o   Design and implement development plans for coachable B players and C players (within 120 days)

o   Identify uncoachable deficits

o   Within 90 days provide all direct reports with a scorecard

§  Metrics, milestones and deadlines must be clearly defined/implemented

§  New hires will need within two weeks of start date

o   Drive high performance culture

o   Daily standups and reviews using scorecards

o   Provide support, coaching, training, mentoring, effective feedback ongoingly

o   Create weekly summary of daily meetings, identify action items, responsible individuals, and approvals required, etc.

·     Attract A player talent, 90% hire year over year.

o   Maintain 90% retention rate of talent

o   Achieve high satisfaction (90%) of direct engagement and satisfaction scores

o   Revision of performance management system (in collaboration with CEO) within 180 days of hire

o   Conduct regular informal feedback sessions

o   Quarterly performance and development reviews for employees/contractors

o   Revise learning management system

o   Provide training on research and data collection

o   Evidence-based decision making, technical skills, customer relationship management, leadership and project management for employees/contractors

·     Collaborate and optimize colleague interaction of company culture

o   Regular collaboration with C-Suite executives to optimize business

o   Report and discuss progress against the Operation Manager scorecard

§  Redefine metrics, milestones, drive deadlines

Requirements:

·     >3 years of operations management experience

·     >2 years managing direct reports (including field staff)

·     Internet/Cable/Broadband required experience

·     BA/BS degree required (Ideally Operations, Management, Logistics, etc.)

·     Team player mindset

·     Multitaskers with great time management

·     Communication skills

·     Organizational skills, attention to detail, with timely follow-through
