Are you a successful talent acquisition professional, with leadership experience in the life sciences, biotech, or healthcare industries? We are seeking a director to oversee the recruitment process, drive a high level of performance against hiring goals, and evaluate and improve the talent acquisition function at both the strategic and operational levels. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), the Director of Talent Acquisition supervises a team of recruiting staff located across all campuses in Maine, Connecticut, and California, and internationally in Europe and Asia.
In collaboration with the CHRO, the Director is responsible for establishing strategic recruitment and employment programs across its three campuses in Maine, Connecticut, and California, and internationally, in consultation with management.
Supervise the activities of Talent Acquisition Staff including selection, training, development, and performance management, in consultation with site management.
Develop, direct, and monitor expense budget for Talent Acquisition, staff development, and performance.
Talent Acquisition Operations:
Develops, implements, and maintains effective, cost-efficient and “best practice” recruitment strategies, employment and recruitment policies, objectives and short- and long-range planning for recruitment efforts Lab-wide, while staying current on latest trends in sourcing and other recruitment practices, including a Laboratory-wide career, college, internship and job fair recruitment plan.
Oversees all facets of the day-to-day service delivery and operations of recruitment for the Laboratory.
Collaborates with the Strategic Communications team in developing and promoting the Laboratory’s employer brand and value proposition to candidates.
Establishes, cultivates, and maintains ongoing relationships with hiring managers/supervisors in order to understand business units, positions, and recruitment needs.
Functions as a recruiter for key executive hires.
Ensures compliance with regulatory policies, procedures, and standards of practice, to include EEOC and AA.
Collaborates with the Compensation Team on market trends, pay strategies, etc. as needed.
