Director of Operations

Responsibilities of the Director of Operations:

·       Work in collaboration with leadership to set operational activities and strategic goals

·       Ensure smooth daily progress by planning and monitoring operations

·       Manage the P&L of the business to ensure we meet quarterly and annual financial objectives.

·       Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of the business to ensure smooth progress

·       Collaborate with the management team to define and document procedures and implement process changes that ensure organizational efficiency, profitability, and growth

·       Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements

·       Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation

·       Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation

·       Oversee managers in the account management, project management, design, development, and marketing departments and oversee their day-to-day responsibilities

·       Collaboration with sales to review sales pipeline

·       Forecast resource capacity and revenue

·       Lead and motivate employees through inspirational, positive leadership with an outcome-oriented approach

·       Act as primary point of contact for day-to-day escalations/issues

·       Budget and schedule client accounts to ensure they remain on budget and schedule

·       Ensure accurate time tracking and proper utilization of resources

·       Attract & recruit top talent

·       Conduct training for new hires throughout the agency

·       Build and maintain reporting for the leadership team on the progress of business & financial objectives

·       Promote profitability by reviewing financial information and adjusting operation budgets

·       Evaluate performance (gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics)

·       Ensure legality and conformity to established regulations

 

Requirements:

·       8 years of project management and/or operations experience (at a full service or digital agency)

·       Curious & passionate about ecommerce

·       Integrated agency workflows and operations robust understanding

·       Ability to simplify complex issues & recommend solutions & policy changes

·       Experience building & optimizing operations across a high impact business

·       Proven success with recruitment & growth of a rock star team

·       Superior organizational, planning, & process management abilities with the ability to lead & manage change

·       Training in project management programs, tools, & methodologies

·       Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

·       Impeccable oral, written & interpersonal communication skills

·       Attention to detail, well organized & management of tasks to completion

·       Critical thinker, with problem-solving & analytical skills

·       Work cooperatively with all levels of employees & executive management

·       Ability to take a hands-on approach when necessary, get things done attitude, while also having the ability to see the big picture

·       Strategic, analytical & conceptual thinker

·       Continuous improvement and innovative strategists  

·       Working knowledge of data analysis & performance/operation metrics

 

Ideally experiences with some of the following:

·       PMP Certification

·       Shopify Plus/Magento/Workarea

·       Previous operations

·       Financial forecasting & budgeting

·       eCommerce

Salary is commensurate with experience.
