Job Title – Lead Sales Representative

Summary: Our Client is a leading e-commerce beverage distribution and marketing brand, recognized as one of the fastest growing company in the United States. Armed with years of experience, studies, big data research and ongoing analysis, SSBD consults for brands and their manufacturers to guide them in developing relevant ecommerce-friendly products and packaging that are designed in accordance with the way today’s online shoppers prefer to  purchase and consume them. 

The Lead Sales Representative should be a highly motivated professional with positive attitude, excellent people oriented sales skills and comfortable being productive while working remotely.

Location: Newark, NJ

 

Essential Functions

  • Make outbound cold calls from prospects lists to identify high quality opportunities. 

  • Follow-up prospects to generate actionable leads. Transform leads into qualified sales opportunities.

  •  Research target contacts and accounts.

  • Identify and reach prospect touch point who is a decision maker on online distribution channel - typically the owner or CMO. Raise awareness about the e-commerce platform and benefits of partnering with SSBD.

  • Demonstrate the value propositions of distributing the prospect’s beverage products exclusively online. Generate excitement and interest on creating e-comm friendly products as well.

  • Reach out to the qualified leads and generate initial phone meetings. 

  • Document and share qualified lead list to management.

  • Achieve set targets and ensure periodic progress reporting on key metrics to the management team.

 

Experience And Qualifications

  •  

Required

  • At least 3 years of experience in B2B sales, including lead conversion through outbound calls.

  • Proven track record of successfully meeting given targets.

  • Ability to thrive and prosper in a dynamic, evolving work environment.

  •  Strong work ethics, attention to detail and tenacity to follow up prospects till conversion.

  • Excellent oral and written business communication skills.

  • High motivational levels, ability to multi-task and prioritize. Capability to take ownership, work independently and understand and discuss new trends and technologies. Ability to learn about products and describe/explain them to prospects.

 

Preferred

  • Online marketing and sales experience in the beverages industry preferred.

  • Exposure to e-commerce platforms preferred. 

  • Experience in consumer goods industry is a plus.

  • Experience in a consultative sales role a plus.
