Lead Quality Assurance Analyst

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

1.    Devise, document, and execute detailed test plans for all assigned projects

2.    Conduct comprehensive testing on all software products and applications for back office and mobile (POS) system

3.    Evaluate and test software programs to verify all assigned projects function according to internal and external user requirements

4.    Create and execute test scripts for both manual and automated

5.    Write test documents including test plan, test cases and test summaries

6.    Conduct post-deployment review and provide detailed report and analysis of all defects, risks, and issues identified during testing of all assigned projects

7.    Review support documentation for accuracy and usability

8.    Prioritize workflow in accordance with departmental goals and initiatives and set timing budgets

9.    Assist in support for new and production releases

10. Prepare projects for end-user testing

11. Assist with trouble-shooting production-level issues, behaviors, and potential problems/defects

12. Participate in review of standards, procedures, tools, and processes

 

Experience, Expertise and Qualifications:

 

1.    College degree or equivalent work experience

2.    Strong desire to create test artifacts, including test plans, test cases, and reports

3.    Maintain manual test scripts for requirement/user story validation, integration, regression and usability testing

4.    Execution of manual test including functional and regression

5.    Experience identifying and logging defects using JIRA

6.    5+ yrs. experience testing mobile apps, Retail POS systems, integrated credit card systems, and all POS peripherals

7.    10+ yrs. experience using professional testing software

8.    4+ years’ experience with SQL joins and complex queries

9.    Proven experience with databases and a thorough understanding of SQL

10. Experience testing Web-Services and APIs (REST/SOAP)

11. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

12. Excellent analytical, debugging, problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.

13. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with outstanding attention to detail

14. Excellent communicator with strong inter-personal skills

15. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

16. Exceptional ability to quickly understand and work with application functionality and system technology (POS, databases, OS, APIs)

17. Multitask in a fast paced and dynamic environment

18. Working knowledge of iOS devices, point-of-sale devices and server configurations

19. Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence and Test Rails is preferred

20. Relevant industry certifications and retail experience are a plus
