Our client in the Oil and Natural Gas Extraction Sector is currently looking for a Instrument Calibration Laboratory Technician to be part of their team.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Receipt and dispatch of items for calibration in the Lab;
- Performance of instrument calibrations in the Lab;
- Daily involvement and assistance with lab calibration operations;
- Cleanliness of Lab;
- Maintenance of stock levels;
- Communicate with Calibrations Coordinator and Operations Manager on all lab planning and co-ordination;
- Partake in internal and external audit requirements;
- Disseminate and promote compliance with the requirements of the Integrated Management System, including safety rules;
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes.
Education, Training and Experience
- High School Certificate or Technical College equivalent;
- Course certificates for relevant calibration training;
- Ability to operate calibration laboratory equipment;
- Competency in measurement of uncertainty in respect of calibration laboratory equipment;
- 3-5 years’ experience in instrument calibration.
